Michael Neave (Coach)

I wasn't always healthy.

As a child, my father worked long hours so my mother took care of me. I was overweight, never played outside, and extremely food picky. When I was 11 my parents had divorced and my father and aunt took custody of me. With my fathers guidance I had lost much of the weight, became more active, and got over my pickiness.

Thanks to my dad I became healthier. With this I realized the great influence our parents have over us. My mother was never healthy and never took care of herself, as her son this hurt to watch. My father on the other hand had a much stronger grasp on his health and wellness and that encouraged me to do the same. I spent a lot of my life learning how to improve and grow in my health and as a person. 6 years ago, I then started learning how to help others do the same.
I began a career as a Personal Trainer and through this I realized that many people didn't actually know how to be healthy or what it even meant. On top of that, I noticed a pattern in nearly every parent, their health wasn't their top priority. For most, it was actually their children. A good parent would do anything for them, like my dad did for me. The problem is most parents don't realize that their actions are louder than their words and they may very well be the catalyst towards their child's future health.

AEONIA PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT WAS CREATED FOR ONE REASON, TO HELP CANADIANS PARENTS AND THEIR CHILDREN (OUR FUTURE) BECOME HEALTHIER.

After a couple years as a personal trainer, I realized something important. It wasn't the time in the gym together that had the greatest impact on my clients but the conversations we had instead. These conversation addressed daily habits and routine.

 

Without these, even those who worked out 5x/week failed.
